I was one of Ediths caretakers in Los Angeles. Our favorite things were to to sing old songs, talk about cooking and old movies. She was so charming and witty. I will miss her terribly

I was deeply sorry to hear the sad news about Mme O’Connor. Her class, which she was kind enough to let me audit even though it was full, was an oasis. I can still hear her rapid footsteps as she approached her classroom in Hibbard Hall and sang out, “Bonjour, mes enfants!”. She was an inspiration.

Cathy - So sorry to read about your mom's passing. She was a fine person, as was your dad. I really enjoyed working for your parents all those summers. We did seem to accomplish many of their dreams. I will remember and cherish those days. Don

Cathy, I'm so sorry to hear about your mother's passing. She was the sweetest; the few times I saw her after our graduation, she always knew me and spoke to me with great kindness. She will forever be in your heart along with the many wonderful memories you have of her & your father. Sending my love, hugs & prayers to you.

Catherine from Carol Heimerl. So sorry to hear about Edie. What a GREAT friend she and Ralph were. Many dinners, back yard picnics and I could go on and on. You know. She will be on my mind forever. Wonderful, intelligent lady.

Edith was a wonderful friend who was elegant and filled with grace and strength. She loved people and was totally devoted to her husband and daughter. I had the pleasure of eating lunch with her every day for two decades at the university. She was witty, passionate, kind, and loving and made us feel very welcome in her home. Many of us developed a tradition of going to the Apple Pie Festival at St. Simeon at the end of each September because of her. Cat, you have been with her every step of the way, just as the two of you were for your dad. My heart goes out to you. All of my memories of her are treasures. Love and prayers, Lee Anna
