Edith Prokson

Edith Prokson, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 5th, 2025. Edith was a cherished resident of Leesburg, NJ.
Born in Millville, NJ, Edith spent the majority of her life in Port Elizabeth, NJ, where she built a loving home and a legacy of compassion and dedication. She was the daughter of the late Francis and Elizabeth (nee Madden) Hayes.
Edith was a dedicated Stock Room Manager at J.C. Penney in Vineland, NJ, where she worked tirelessly for many years. She also worked at the Millville Day Care Center and Haleyville Senior Center over the years. She was always ready with a smile and a helping hand.
Edith is survived by her loving sons, Michael Prokson (Tammy) and Steve Tarallo. She was the proud grandmother of four grandchildren and the adoring great-grandmother of one great-grandchild. She was predeceased by her brother Frank Hayes. Her family was her greatest joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Cremation will be held privately. A graveside service and urn burial will be held on Monday May 12, 2025 at 10:00 am at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Millville, NJ. Memories of Edith and condolences for her family may be shared at christyfuneralhome.com.
