Martha Prokson Obituary

Martha W. Prokson Martha W. Prokson, previously Martha W. Delaney, passed away on December 13, 2008. She was 92. She was a graduate of Bryn Mawr Hospital School of Nursing and was the great-granddaughter of John Watson, the founder of Watsontown, Pa. Mrs. Prokson was an officer in the Army Air Corps during World War II. In the 1950s and 1960s, she lived in Tallahassee, where she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and a registered nurse at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. She was married to the late Thomas Prokson. She is survived by a daughter, Kay D. Sloan of Clearwater; a son, Robert W. Delaney of Okeechobee; four grandchildren, Erin Kennedy, Kevin Kennedy, Honor Delaney, and Michael Delaney; seven great-grandchildren; and a brother, Lewis Watson of Seattle. A Memorial Service will take place in Lake Placid, Fla., at the First Presbyterian Church, on January 3, 2009, at 11 a.m. EST.

Kay and Robert,

I will miss my friend, she was always smiling and waiting for her hug, which I gladly gave her. She was a wonderful lady and I will miss her. Carol Day Bayview Gardens.
