Edith Catherine Tucker

Edith Catherine Tucker, daughter of the late Albert and Winnie Terry, was born January 12, 1937 in Halifax, Virginia. She had five brother, Smith, Thomas, Howard, John, Albert, and one sister Ruth Pajouhandeh. Edith departed this life peacefully on February 9, 2025.Edith was educated in the Baltimore City Public Schools and graduated from Carver Vocational High School in 1956. There she studied and completed courses in Cosmetology. She was the proprietor of Ediths Beauty Salon for more than forty years. Being a beautician was a life-long dream. She always said that her mission was to bring the hair to life and make the ladies look beautiful.Edith married Sherwood in 1957, from that union was two loving daughters, Saverne and Karen. She has five grandchildren, LeKese, Nicole, Tavon, Nakeeah, and Bobby. She has nine great-grandchildren, Wayne III, Taylor, Quintin, Tyese, Illaun, ReShawn, Kaniyah, Skylar, Ariyah, and one great, great grandson, Akari, whom she loved very much.Edith was a long-time member of Little Ark Missionary Baptist Church for over sixty years. Her family knows that she truly loved the Lord. She was a wonderful, unique, and phenomenal person who would do anything to support her family and friends. She loved to travel with the senior groups, visit friends and relatives. During football season, you can clearly hear her cheering on the Ravens. Even at the end of her life, she continued to show her amazing personality.She leaves to mourn her children grandchildren, and a host of family members, cousins, nieces and nephews who love her very much. Heaven has a new Angel.
