Edith Ellen Wilson

Born on May 22, 1934, in Burlington, Iowa, Edith Ellen Wilson was the beloved daughter of Henry and Minnie Larsen. She spent her early years on a dairy farm before the family relocated to California in 1947 when Edith was 13.

She attended Glendale High School, where she met the love of her life, Richard Everett Wilson. They married in 1953 and raised four children together: Jeff (Shauney), Randy (deceased 2008), Kathy (deceased 2015), and Mindy (Dale Kindelberger).

The Wilson family embraced an adventurous spirit, enjoying water sports, motorcycles, RVing, camping, and road trips across the United States. Edith was close to her 2 sisters and 4 brothers and many family outings and camping trips were held together. Christmas at the Wilson's was an annual tradition celebrated by all.

After her divorce in 1979, Edith settled in Tujunga, California, where she worked for over 20 years for J's Maintenance (owned by Ed Waldheim). The Wilson's and Waldheim's were very involved in off-road motorcycle racing and spent a lot of time together in the Mojave Desert. Upon retiring in 1998, she moved to Lake Havasu City, Arizona, where she found joy in bowling, cherished friendships, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Three of her four children moved to Lake Havasu City to be near her.

Edith was a proud grandmother to seven: Tammie, Gavin (Van), Scott, Ryan, Kristin (James Griffith), Justin, and Aslan; and a great-grandmother to six: Amber, Ella, Cali, Lucy, Liam, and Lincoln.

She passed peacefully at home on September 21, 2025, at the age of 91. Edith will be remembered as a caring and generous soul, always ready to lend a helping hand. Her warmth and kindness touched many lives, and she will be deeply missed.
