Editha Furst Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Parks Funeral Home - Summerville on Dec. 22, 2025.
Editha E. (Saludaga) Furst, lovingly known as Edith, age 75, passed away on December 19, 2025, in Summerville, South Carolina.
Edith was born on January 10, 1950, in the Philippines. Though much of her early life was spent there, she moved to The United States in1972 and built a full and meaningful life in South Carolina, centered on family, perseverance, and faith.
Edith was a woman of strong will and deep love, best known for raising seven children, a role she embraced with determination and devotion. Her life was marked by sacrifice, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to her family. To those who knew her, she was a mother first and always.
She was preceded in death by her former husbands, Gene Boing and Fred Woods.
She is survived by her children: Christopher Boing, Eric Boing, Michele Boing, Velma Wright, Jamie Woods, Joe Furst, and Jerry Furst; and her grandchildren: Casey Hinson, Justin Hinson, Eric Christopher Thomas Boing, Chance Bolden, Legend Bolden, Jordan Wright, Bryceten Woods, Malayna Woods, Ethan Woods, Isaiah Woods, Annalee Woods, Blaise Furst, Kaia Furst, Jace Furst, and Kenleigh Furst.
Edith loved her family deeply and found joy in time spent with her children and grandchildren. Her presence, strength, and care will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Most importantly, Edith had placed her trust in the Lord. She was saved years ago and held firmly to her faith, which remains a comfort and hope to her family, knowing she is now at peace in the presence of her Savior.
A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service from 12:00 p.m., at Parks Funeral Home.
