She was born in Charleston, West Virginia. Charlene enjoyed quilting, cooking, bird watching and the beach.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dietz and Winifred (Halstead) Hunt. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Larry Wayne Ball; sons, Steven Ball (Julie McKelvey) and Jason Ball (Angie Cichon); brothers, Tom (Julie) Hunt, Ed Hunt and David (Carmen) Hunt; and grandchild, Avery Ball.
Calling hours will be on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. Akron, Ohio 44301. Casual attire requested. Funeral service will be held Monday at 9 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. For gratitude from family and friends, donations may be made to the Justin T. Charlene and I were roommates our freshman year in college. She had a great sense of humor and was a wonderful friend. I miss her.

I am thankful that Charlene was in my life. She was a good friend, compassionate and caring, with a wicked sense of humor. I remember when she reconnected with Larry, her husband, during our last year of college and how happy that made her. My thoughts and prayers are with the family and I am so sorry for their loss.
