E. Pauline Dalton, 81, of Elkhart, formerly of Bremen, passed away peacefully at 5:29 pm, Wednesday, June 11, 2025 in Greenleaf Health Campus of Elkhart. Pauline was born on May 16, 1944 to the late Warren and Loretta (Holley) Williams. She is survived by two daughters: Georgette Dalton and Nancy (Jeffery) Gest, both of Elkhart; four grandchildren: Stephanie Weaver, Ryne Weaver, Jake (Hilary) Weaver and Connor Gest and five great grandchildren: Silas Weaver, Stark Serna, Anna Weaver, Jackson Weaver and Gracelynn Gest. She is also survived by two siblings: David (Money) Williams of Lovington, IL and Leta Williams of Indianapolis. She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter: Norma Dalton, and siblings: Lola Faye Young, Mary June Ramey, James Williams, Johnny Williams and Earl Chester Williams along with several nieces and nephews. After Pauline graduated high school, she began her banking career in Nashville, IN. She later moved to Bremen in her early adult life and continued working at Bremen State Bank/1st Source. She retired in 2009 from the Community Hospital of Bremen. In retirement, she found joy in the simple things—playing cards, board games, and puzzles with her daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved cheering on her girls and grandkids at their games, reading, and watching movies with her family. Some of her family’s favorite memories include her singing lullabies during overnights and the thrill of riding in the car as she drove fast over hills with a sparkle in her eye. She also held a special place in her heart for her honorary grandson, Ronny. Pauline was loved by many; she was a one-of-a-kind grandmother who gave her whole heart to those around her and made everyone who walked through her door feel at home. Visitation will be held from 1:00–3:00 pm, Tuesday, June 17, 2025 in Mishler Funeral Home, 2030 St Rd 331, Bremen. Funeral services will follow and begin at 3:00 pm Tuesday in the funeral home. Pastor Neil Wonnacott will officiate. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to be made to: Lighthouse Autism Center, 215 Red Coach Dr., Mishawaka, IN 46545.
