Our sympathy goes out to you three girls on the loss of your mother, Edna. I last saw her in Woodview when I played my accordion there and talked to her. She was a wonderful lady and I always enjoyed her. Sorry I can't be there as we're in Florida yet. God's blessings! Beverly (Hirsch) Scheiwe (She was Dick's first cousin)

I always remember Edna as a very kind, loving and happy person, she was one of my Mom's, Betty Hormann's best friends introduced to her by her friend and Aunt Ruth (Smith) Oetting. We enjoyed many fun visits our family of 3 girls with Edna and Walt's 3 girls, Nicky, Kathy and Peggy. Many great memories of those childhood visits. I was thankful that Edna's daughter Peggy would bring Edna to see my Mom Betty Hormann who is at an assisted living community in New Carlisle, Indiana. Their last visit not that long ago, my Mom told me when she said good bye to Edna after their visit Edna told my Mom, "If I don't get to see you again on this earth, I will see you in Heaven". My Mom told me this when she called me about Edna's passing, I know this gave my Mom great peace. I know my Mom will miss her but is at peace she will see her again. She loved Edna very much and Edna was a true friend to my Mom her whole life. I am also thankful I knew Edna and have great memories of her. My sympathy to Nicky, Kathy and Peggy for the loss of your special Mother. Your family friend, Cindy (Hormann) Kok
