Edna M. Gage

Edna M Gage, 96, passed away February 26, 2018. She was born in Fort Wayne, IN on August 3, 1921 the daughter of the late Henry and Katherine Fritcha. Edna was married to Walter Gage in 1947 and they spent 57 years of marriage together before his passing. Edna and Walter were worldwide travelers after their children were out of the home. In her spare time she enjoyed crafting, needle point, crocheting, and sewing, and sewed many of her daughter's clothes when they were younger. Spending time with family and grandchildren was certainly her favorite past time. She is survived by her daughters; Nicole Dixon, Katherine (Denny) Ruprecht, and Peggy (Steven) Briggs; 10 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Gage; brothers, Orville Fritcha and Harold Fritcha, and stepmom, Esther Fritcha. Funeral service will take place at 11am on Monday, March 5, 2018 at Ascension Lutheran Church, 8811 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46835, with calling 2 hours prior. Burial will take place in Clear Lake Lutheran Chapel Cemetery, Fremont, IN at 3pm on Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to Ascension Lutheran Church.
