Crestview - Edna Lorene (Bryan) Gordon, age 91 of Crestview, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, and was joyfully reunited with her beloved husband, Brady.

Born in Laurel Hill, FL, on April 29, 1934, Edna graduated from Laurel Hill School and soon married her high school sweetheart, Brady Gordon. Together, they built a beautiful life and shared over 70 years of marriage, marked by devotion, laughter, and a love that touched everyone around them.

Family was always at the heart of Edna's world. She poured her life into her children, grandchildren, and extended family, faithfully encouraging, nurturing, and guiding each one. Known for her warm smile, quick wit, and generous laugh, Edna had a way of making people feel at home in her presence.

When Brady retired from the Army, they returned "home" and settled in Crestview in 1973. A few years later, they started Gordon Air Conditioning & Associates where Edna managed the administrative side until her retirement in 1992. Retirement allowed her to devote even more time to the things she loved most - her family, her church, her garden, and her community.

For more than 50 years, Edna was a faithful member of Woodlawn Baptist Church, where she taught children's Sunday School classes, served with Vacation Bible School, WMU, SHINE!, prayer ministry, and many committees. She had a special heart for missions and was instrumental in helping her ladies Sunday School class raise thousands of dollars for Pure Water, Pure Love as well as for local ministries.

Edna also believed deeply in serving her community. She enjoyed her work as a Crestview Chamber of Commerce Ambassador, helped establish neighborhood watch programs, volunteered in local schools, and held leadership roles in ABWA.

She is preceded in death by her husband of nearly 71 years, Brady Gordon; her parents, William Marvin and Mamie (Stickland) Bryan; brothers, Leroy Bryan and Gene Bryan, and her sister, Mildred (Bryan) Fulton.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Susan Dianne Sauls and husband, Frank; Nancy Joy Fiore and husband, Larry; Patricia Lee Butler and husband, Andy; and Thomas Edward Gordon and wife, Barbara. Also surviving are ten grandchildren: Carolyn (Sauls) Johnson, Peter Sauls, Kathryn (Sauls) Hopson, Jaclyn Fiore, Chase Fiore, Natalie Fiore, Tiffany Gordon, Felicia Gordon, Eliana Butler, and Emma Butler; as well as four great-grandchildren: Lexi Hopson, Isaiah Hopson, Ethan Johnson, and Athena Powell; and brothers: Bob Bryan and Bill (Diane) Bryan; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday, August 22, at 2:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Baptist Church with a dessert reception to follow. She will be buried at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola on Thursday, August 28.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites memorial contributions to Pure Water, Pure Love or Samaritan's Purse, honoring Edna's heart for missions and service. Arrangements are entrusted to Whitehurst Powell Funeral Home in Crestview.
