Edna Hester Obituary
A Memorial Gathering of Family and Friends for Ms. Edna L. Hester, 86, of Monroe, LA, will be from 4:00 PM until 5:00 PM Friday, March 14, 2025, at Mulhearn Funeral Home Monroe, LA.
Ms. Hester was born July 29, 1938, and passed away peacefully at home on March 7, 2025. She retired from General Motors. Ms. Hester enjoyed gardening, reading, dancing, puzzles, shopping and most of all spending time with her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Hollis Lewis and Susie Laird Lewis; son, Charles “Butch” Hester; two sisters, Helen Scott and Julia Roberts; and one brother, T C Lewis.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her two daughters, Kathi McCranie and Khristina Povinelli and husband Jim; four grandchildren, Susan Warrick and husband Bobby, Holli Morrison and husband Wayne, Leo Murray, and Eddie Buckle; five great-grandchildren, Katie King and husband Steven, Keaton Morrison, Bailey Griffin and husband Ryan, Gage Morrison and wife Lauren, and Aaron Morrison; nine great-great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends; and her beloved dog, “Baby Girl”.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Billy Branch and the staff of Louisiana Hospice.
