Edna Hunt age 93 of Mason City, NE, passed away on May 22, 2025, at the Brookestone View in Broken Bow, NE.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Mason City Cemetery in Mason City, NE, with Pastor Scott Harvey officiating. Govier Brothers Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Online words of remembrance may be left at www.govierbrothers.com
Edna Lorraine Hunt was born in Kingsburg, California, on November 18, 1931, to Jacob and Marian (Clarke) Bare. Edna grew up in Travor, CA. Edna married Stanley Hunt on February 18, 1953. The couple lived in various locations through the years, settling in Mason City in 2000. After Stanley’s death in 2009, Edna continued to make her home in Mason City before moving to Brookestone View in 2024. Edna enjoyed crocheting.
Edna was preceded in death by her husband Stanley, sons John and Mike, two sisters, and a brother.
Edna is survived by her children Robert Hunt of Berwyn, Kathy Bernhardt of Omaha, and Bryan Hunt of Visalia, CA, nine grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
