Edna "Maw Cooney" Painter Lambert was born in New Orleans, LA on December 21, 1948. She passed away at her home peacefully on December 5, 2025, at the age of 76. She loved time spent with her family, watching sports, playing Yahtzee, dancing, music, baking, and cooking. She was always smiling and made everyone feel loved. She was a faithful member of River of Life Church in Port Vincent. Edna is survived by her son, Garry Lambert (Rebecca); Brother, Joseph "Boo Boo" Painter (Lucille); sister-in-law, Sue Painter; grand dog, Hersey. She is preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Lambert, Sr.; son, Edwin Lambert, Jr.; parents, Ollie and Edna B. Painter; brother, Paul "Bootsy" Painter.
A funeral service will be held at River of Live Church in Port Vincet, LA at a future date, followed by burial at Prairieville Community Cemetery in Prairieville, LA.
