Edna Mesing Obituary
Edna was born in 1928 and grew up in rural Indiana. She married Ralph Mesing in 1951.
Edna enjoyed gardening, knitting, painting and volunteering at her church. She loved spending time at the lake with her family and enjoyed watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren enjoy the lake as she did.
Edna is survived by her six children: Sylvia (Albert) Ensley, James (Patricia) Mesing, Howard Mesing, Darlene (Gerry) Ehle, Marlene (James) Vandre and Walter (Carla) Mesing; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and one on the way; and four great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; grandson, James Arthur Vandre; a brother; and four sisters.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 11, 2023, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Preble. Family and friends will be received from 12 noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday, December 10, 2023, at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur and one hour prior to the funeral on Monday at the church.
