The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:45 prior to the funeral. A private family burial will be held in the family cemetery.
Edna Earl Morgan Stone, age 79, of Meridian, passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at Vitas Hospice Lutheran Towers in Orlando, Florida. She was born September 20, 1945 in Meridian to the late Oscar Virgil "OV" Morgan and Mittie V. Rich Morgan.
Edna was a loving mother and grandmother, and a good friend to many. She was strong in her faith, never met a stranger, and she would do anything for anyone. She enjoyed spending as much time with her family as possible and talking on the phone with her friends. Edna loved her family very much, and would not hesitate on bragging about any of them if asked. Throughout her life, she worked for the Lauderdale County Tax Collector's Office, West End Elementary School as a computer teacher/interventionist, and then East Mississippi State Hospital until her retirement.
She is survived by her daughters, Amy Leigh Floyd of Enterprise, MS, and Julie Jenkins of Orlando, Florida; grandchildren, Kayla Jenkins Ridge (Will) of Greenwood, MS, Jacob Jenkins and Elizabeth Jenkins of Orlando, Florida, Rayleigh Floyd Langdon (Travis) of Hickory, MS and Will Floyd of Enterprise, MS; and one great granddaughter Eeevee Mary Elle Ridge. She is also survived by her siblings, Kathleen Morgan Skelton of Mesquite, TX and Oscar Lee Morgan (Alaine) of Meridian, MS; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
