Funeral services for Edna Mae Millsaps Shelnutt, age 84, of Roanoke, will be held on Sunday, March 16, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Derek Farr officiating and Keith Dunlap reading the eulogy. Burial will follow at Taylor's Crossroads Church of Christ Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00-3:00 PM on Sunday.
Mrs. Shelnutt passed away on Friday, March 14, 2025, at her home.
Survivors include her daughter, Teresa Farmer (Keith) of Woodland; two sons, Stephen Shelnutt (Tracy) of Robbinsville, NC and Tim Shelnutt of Roanoke; five grandchildren, Megan Luntz (Chris), Zander Shelnutt (Jewlz), Alex Shelnutt, Brooke Head (Ross), and Heather Wright; five great-grandchildren, Lilyanna Luntz, Emma Mae Luntz, Benjamin Luntz, William Head, Dewey Cox and Barrett Wright.
Pallbearers will be Zander Shelnutt, Trent Shelnutt, Ross Head, Keith Farmer, Chris Luntz, and Stephen Shelnutt.
Mrs. Shelnutt was born on February 19, 1941, the daughter of George Thomas and Iva Elizabeth Carringer Millsaps. She was a member of Taylor's Crossroads Church of Christ and had worked in housekeeping for Traylor's Nursing Home. Mrs. Edna loved the Lord and she loved spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 59 years, Charlie Eugene Shelnutt; son, Eugene Shelnutt; three brothers, Lloyd Millsaps, Paul Millsaps, and Huel Millsaps.
Memorials may be floral.
