Mr. Tommy Blake Shelnutt, 84, of LaGrange, passed away Monday, September 22, 2025, at Hospice LaGrange.

Mr. Shelnutt was born March 6, 1941, in Randolph County, Alabama, son of the late John Dorsey Shelnutt and Grace Richardson Shelnutt. A former resident of Hogansville, he was a member of Bible Baptist Church and retired as a superintendent from Benton Georgia. He loved working on classic and antique cars.

Survivors include his sons and daughters in-law, Tony and Cheryl Shelnutt of Hogansville, Tommy Shelnutt of Gadsden, AL, Tim Shelnutt of Hogansville, Travis and Brittany Shelnutt of Gadsden; ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; sister, Ann McCord of Woodland, AL; and brother, Brack Shelnutt, also of Woodland. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Faye Leonard, Lila Whitaker, Genelle Shelnutt, and Gail Higgins; and his brothers, Buck Shelnutt, Paul Shelnutt, Dean Shelnutt, Sr., Bobby Shelnutt, and Brooks Shelnutt.

The funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, September 25, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with the Reverend Randall Hodge officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., Thursday, prior to the service.
