Webb & Stephens Funeral Home, North and Forest Lawn Memory GardensEdna Slayton Page, age 100, of Collinsville, passed away peacefully during the evening hours of Friday, September 12, 2025, at The Oaks Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.
Edna was born to Charles Andy Slayton and Alma McKeithen Slayton on May 28, 1925, at their home in Kemper County. Edna married the love of her life, Luther Ray Page, and they spent a wonderful 73 years together until Ray’s passing in 2016.
Edna will be remembered as a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and friend. She was also an excellent cook, making the best cabbage and cornbread and orange cakes. She enjoyed sewing and dearly loved spending time with her family. She especially enjoyed going to the casino while her health allowed her to. Edna will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left to cherish Edna’s memory are her son, Richard Page and his wife, Kay; daughter-in-law, Irene Page; her grandsons, James McGrew (Pam), John Page (Angie), and Brad Page (Samantha); along with her great grandsons, Joseph Faulkner (Mariah), Dylan McGrew (Sobona), Dustin Page, Chance Page, Braxton McGrew, and Chris Gilbert; her great granddaughters, Brooke Allen (Mark) and Starla Page; along with her two great great granddaughters, Jordan Allen and Valerie Faulkner.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Andy Slayton and Alma Maggard; her husband, Luther Ray Page; her son, Charles E. Page; and her grandsons, Richard Dion Page and Charles Keith Page.
Visitation for Edna will be held on Wednesday, September 17th, from 12:30-2:00 p.m. Funeral Services will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Josh Beckman officiating the service. Edna will be laid to rest next to her beloved Ray in the Hamrick Cemetery.
Serving as Pallbearers for Edna’s service will be James McGrew, Joseph Faulkner, Dylan McGrew, Dustin Page, Braxton McGrew, Brad Page, and Chance Page.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests for donations to made in Edna’s honor to the American Heart Association, the American Diabetes Association, or to a charity of your choice.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff and nurses of Gentiva Hospice for their love and care of Edna while she was in their care.
The staff of Webb & Stephens Funeral Homes-North is grateful for the opportunity to honor Edna’s life and memory and to serve her loving family during this time.
