Edna M. Taitt

Edna Mary Taitt, age 82 of Mantua Township, NJ passed away on Thursday March 26, 2026. Born in Camden to the late Elsworth Joyce and Mary (nee Haggerty), she graduated from Paulsboro High School in the early 1960s. Edna married the late James Stevenson Taitt and together raised four children. They purchased a camper and enjoyed camping with their children at the shore where they would sit around the campfire and have campfire pies. She was an amazing artist and had a passion for painting. One of her greatest joys was spending time teaching her grandchildren how to paint. Edna also loved spending time with her friends and going out to lunch with them.

She is survived by her children, Cynthia Taitt of Mantua (formerly of Deptford Twp. "Oak Valley"), James Taitt Jr. & his wife, Deanna of FL, Sharon Schlosser & her husband, Leon of Gibbstown, and Jason Taitt & his wife, Kim of Mullica Hill; grandchildren, Joshua Taitt (Ashley Coates), James Jones (Lindsey), Megan Taitt (Jeff Hughes), Haley, Hunter, & Stephanie Schlosser, and Billy Gray, great granddaughters, Violet Jones & Gianna Roby, and her brother, Tom Joyce & his wife, Suzanne. Edna was predeceased by her sisters, Peggy Monroe & Patricia Robinson.

Relatives & friends may visit from 9:30 am to 11 am on Wednesday, April 1st, at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Mantua, NJ where a funeral service will be held at 11 am. Interment will take place in the future.
