Services for Edna Lillis Ward will be held Thursday, July 18, 2024, 11:00 a.m., at Webb & Stephens Funeral Home-North. Interment will Forest Lawn Memory Gardens Cemetery. Webb & Stephens Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.
Mrs. Edna Lillis Ward, 85, of Meridian, passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2024, at Ochsner Rush Hospital.
Edna enjoyed sewing, putting puzzles together, and playing cards. She was also a fan of the New Orleans Saints and the MSU Bulldogs. However, nothing was more important to her than her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be remembered as a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her daughter, Vickie Gregory (Billy); grandchildren, Kari Allen (Hank), Taylor Gregory (Marci), Michael Lillis, Nikki Daw (Josh), Jacob Gregory (Shelby), and Hannah Lillis; 9 great grandchildren with 1 on the way; and cousin, William “Cuz” Cumberland.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, Mack Lillis and Riley “Poppy” Ward; son, Charles Lillis; daughter-in-law, Donna Lillis; parents, Joseph and Mavis Alday Stevens; 1 sister; and 3 brothers.
Pallbearers will include Jacob Gregory, Michael Lillis, Josh Daw, John Todd, Jeff Gregory, Caydn Ryals, Zach Allen, and Tyler Allen. Honorary pallbearers will include William “Cuz” Cumberland and Taylor Gregory, as he is serving overseas.
Visitation will be held an hour prior to service at the funeral home.
