Edna Mae Westphaln

Edna Mae Westphaln, of Sharon, WI, passed away peacefully at her home on March 16, 2026, at the age of 92.

Edna was born on August 14, 1933, in Plato Township, IL, the daughter of Herman and Nora (Simkins) Knake. On February 5, 1955, she married Richard Allen Westphaln in Marengo, IL.

Edna loved going camping and spending time with family. She also enjoyed embroidery, doing puzzles, and painting. She delighted in getting together with family and friends to go out for breakfast.

Edna is survived by her children Kenneth (Doris) Westphaln of Green Bay, WI, Irene (Gus) Jakowitsch of Waldorf, MD, and Sharon (Andy) White of Lock Haven, PA; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Richard, brothers Herman, Pete, Laverne, Harold, and Raymond, sisters Shirley, Marilyn, and Ellen, and her daughter Roberta A. Borrison.

Visitation will be from 10 AM until the 12 PM funeral service on March 23, 2026, at Saunders Funeral Home & Crematory, 1745 S. Eastwood Dr., Woodstock, IL 60098. Interment to follow at McHenry County Memorial Park in Woodstock, IL.
