Edrie "Cookie" Neace, 78 of Whick went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at Hazard ARH surrounded by her family.
Born May 4, 1947 in West Virginia, Cookie was the daughter of the late Glenn and Nellie Bailey Mann. She was also preceded in death by husband, Johnny Neace; children, Tammy Bush and Glenn J. Neace and also several siblings.
Cookie was dedicated to her family. A loving wife, mother and "Nan", she was sincere and selfless. She was a faithful servant to the Lord, longtime member of the Full Gospel Church of Whick and the Well at Haddix. Her faith was unwavering even in the face of many challenges.
She enjoyed attending church, spending time with her family and working in her flower garden.
She is survived by son, Shane (Polly) Neace; grandchildren, Glenn E. (Leandra) Neace, Joshua (Jayme) Neace, Tyler (Abbey) Smith, Lexie (Tyler) Roberts, Jordan (Riley) Mullins and Emily Neace; great grandchildren, Ava, Eli and Ema Neace, Knox Smith and Raylen Roberts; special niece, Verna Stacy.
Visitation for Cookie will be held Sunday, May 25, 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM at the funeral home with the funeral service to be held Monday, May 26, 11:00 AM with Raymond Moore officiating.
Burial will follow in the Jackson Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Cookie's life was marked by faith, family and service to others. She is now at peace in the arms of her Savior.
