Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory announces the funeral services for Mr. Edsel Ford “EF” Hunter, age 75, who passed away Saturday, June 15, 2024, at his residence under the care of his loving family and Coastal Hospice. Mr. Hunter was a native and lifelong resident of Appling County; a retired valve technician with Crane Nuclear, a former member serving six years with the Georgia National Guard and a member of Midway Baptist Church.
Mr. Hunter was a loving husband, father, and grandfather not letting a day go by in which he didn’t tell them.
Preceding him in death are two great grandchildren, Stella Hunter and Charlie Smith, sisters, Alice Faye Pittman, Helen Aspinwall, and Doris Brown; parents, Edsel Ford and Annie Belle Hunter.
Surviving is his wife of fifty-three years Mrs. Pat Ritch Hunter, children, Brian Hunter (Sandy), Becky Smith (Dustin Clemons), Ben Hunter, and Eddie Hunter (Amy); grandchildren, Kayla Hunter, Dustin Hunter (Lacey), Cody Hunter (Amber), Edsel Hunter (Abby), Dakota Smith (Robbilyn), Tristan Clemons, and Jeffrey Hunter; eight great grandchildren; two sisters, Lora Carter (Alan), and Joann Dowd (James); special daughter, Tonya Hunter (Richie), and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. from the Midway Baptist Church with Reverend Darron Jackson and Reverend Ron Ross officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at Midway Baptist Church.
Interment will follow in the Midway Baptist Church Cemetery.
Active Pallbearers are Dustin Hunter, Cody Hunter, Edsel Hunter, Dakota Smith, Tristan Clemons, Robbie Ammons and Jeffrey Hunter.
Honorary Pallbearers are the members of Midway Baptist Church and the staff of Coastal Hospice.
