Edson "Ed" Monroe Wiggington 79, of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Thursday, December 4, 2025 in St. Joseph. He was born July 30, 1946 in St. Joseph, son of the late Marrilla and George Wiggington. He attended Benton High School, and went on to join the Army. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Ed then worked as a welder. He was a big supporter of Wicked Sisterz LRC. Ed loved using his metal detector or "dirt fishing" as his fiancée puts it. He would make rings out of coins, and he was a proud published author. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, brother, John Allen Wiggington, and sister, Christine Huber. Survivors include: his fiancée, Peggy Shaw of the home, and father-in-law, William Meade.
Mr. Wiggington has been cremated under the care of Rupp Funeral Home. There are no scheduled services at this time, per his wishes. Online condolences and obituary at www.ruppfuneral.com.
