Eduardo "Eddie" Roxas Coloma, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2025, at the age of 68. He was born on August 31, 1956, to Angel Santillan Coloma and Agripina Roxas Coloma in Santa Ana, Philippines. Eddie married Normalyn Martinez Deang in the Philippines on April 6, 1995. Together they raised three daughters-Caricha, Sharika, and Karichia-who were the joy of his life.
Before immigrating to Seattle, Washington, in 1995, Eddie worked overseas as an industrial radiography technician in Saudi Arabia. In Seattle, he became a beloved member of the engineering crew at the DoubleTree Hotel in SeaTac, where his good humor, warmth, and constant willingness to help others made him a treasured part of the team. He retired in 2020 after being diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. A talented craftsman, Eddie took pride in his work and brought joy to those around him through his generosity and kindness.
He was preceded in death by his father, mother, and two brothers, Angel "Boy" Coloma Jr. and Herson Coloma. Eddie is survived by his wife and three daughters, as well as eight grandchildren-Mia, Lorenzo, Alonso, Aspen, Sage, Liam, Lyra, and Emilliano-who will forever remember his love and gentle spirit. He is also survived by four siblings, Ador Coloma, Luzviminda (Coloma) Stoner, Rigor Coloma, and Eva Coloma; two nieces in the U.S., MaryAnn (Stoner) Tenold and April (Coloma) Boyce; and many more nieces and nephews in the Philippines.
Eddie's memory will live on in the laughter of his grandchildren, the craftsmanship he shared, and the countless acts of kindness he gave so freely. A viewing and celebration of life for Eddie will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Bonney Watson Funeral Home, 16445 International Blvd, SeaTac, WA 98188. In lieu of flowers, contributions to support Eddie's family may be directed to his family's GoFundMe.
