1953-2024 West Valley City, Utah
Edward Orland Adams, a devoted husband, loving dad, brother, uncle, grandpa, and friend passed away quietly in his home in West Valley City in the early hours of August 10, 2024 at the age of 71. He had cancer in his lung and spine, and Parkinson's, and was on hospice for just over 3 weeks.
He was born July 10, 1953 to parents Robert and Annetta Adams. He was born and raised in Decatur, Illinois with his older sister Ruth. Even though they were distanced apart Ruth and Edward spoke over the phone every evening. Ed loved being an uncle to Gene and David, Ruth's sons. He was especially close to Gene, being the constant father figure in his life.
At the age of 21, Ed married the love of his life, Donna Hauck, on Valentine's Day (so he would never forget their anniversary). They shared 49 years of marriage and brought 3 wonderful children into this world, Macy, Nicole, and Meana. They also adored their 7 grandchildren.
Edward graduated from MacArthur High in Decatur, Illinois and was an electronic technician by trade and enjoyed all things computer related. He went from teaching his children how to operate and play on the Commodore 64 to teaching his kids how to build their own PC's.
Ed had a witty humor and a great love for "dad" jokes. He loved sharing his joy with his family and friends. Edward was very fond of playing D&D and RuneQuest with family and friends. His imagination never ceased to amaze us all.
He was into fast muscle cars through his high school years. His favorite car that he owned was a Ford Galaxie from the late 1960's. Edward was preceded in death by parents Robert and Annetta Adams, and daughter Macy. He is survived by his wife: Donna, children: Nicole Jones (Brandon) and Meana, and grandchildren: Eric, Damien, Dustin, Kaleb, Harmony, Oliver, and Gabriel, sister: Ruth Ann, and nephews: Gene and David.
