Edward Angiollo Obituary
Edward W. Angiollo, Sr., 86, of Branford passed away peacefully on Friday, June 21st, 2024, at his home with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of 58 years to Rose Vastola Angiollo. Edward was born in New Haven on December 5th, 1937, and was the son of the late Angelo and Maria DeCapua Angiollo. He worked for the former New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroads and later the Branford Board of Education for 20 years until his retirement. Edward started and served on the board for East Haven Youth Hockey for 45 years. He was a member of the Branford Italian-American Club and enjoyed playing bocce, was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and New York Rangers. Father of Maria Sanders (Peter) and Edward Angiollo (Kelly). Grandfather of Nicole Pappacoda, Julia Ciotti Angiollo, Ava, Luca and Carmine Angiollo. Great-grandfather of Hailee and Jaxson Ashe, Amiinah Mohamed Somo. Brother of Angelo Angiollo (Nettie) and the late Florence Sullo, Grace Cacace, Joseph, Albert and Frank Angiollo. Also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
The visiting hours will be Monday, July 1st from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. Family and friends are invited to go directly to St. Mary Church/St. John Bosco Parish, 731 Main Street, Branford on Tuesday morning, July 2nd at 10:00 to attend a Mass of Christian burial. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Im sorry for your loss , Eddy was always there with a smile everytime I was at the East Haven rink, he was one of the mainstays there for years and he was a good friend of my Dads....His smile will be missed ...RIP...

So sorry for your loss. So many great memories with your dad at the IA. He was so proud of his kids and grandchildren, truly lit up when talking about them. He was a great friend to my father and I´ll always remember them laughing together.

Dear Angiollo Family and friends,
Donna and I are so so sorry to hear of Ed's passing. Ed, was such a kind and friendly guy. We had so much fun at "Common Grounds" coffee shop every night. Ed, made us laugh out loud and we'll always have fond memories of our coffee time together. Know that Ed touched many people and many people loved Ed. Ed, is in our hearts.
