Edward Brennan Obituary

Edward M. Brennan of Tampa, Florida, formerly of Washington Township, New Jersey, passed away on Monday, December 7, 2009. Born in 1935 in New York City, he was a graduate of Manhattan College and a certified public accountant. Ed married his wife Rose in 1958 and in 1963 Ed and Rose moved from the City to Bergen County, New Jersey to raise their growing family. In 1984, Ed and Rose relocated to Tampa at the request of his employer, Hydro Agri/Norsk Hydro, for whom Ed served as Vice President of U.S Operations until his retirement in 1994. He was a 40-year member of the Washington Township Knights of Columbus, Mother Seton Council #5427. Ed was a dedicated member of his church and its extended Catholic community his entire life. Ed is survived by Rose, his wife of 51 years, his five children Jeanne, Clare, Edward, Stephen, and Matthew, son in law Louis, daughters in law Patricia, Lisa and Michele, and his nine grandchildren, Kelly, Louis, Megan, Stephen, Kevin, Shea, Ethan, Danielle and Katie Rose, all of whom Ed loved to the moment of his passing. A special thanks from Ed and his family must go to the entire staff at Emeritus Assisted Living in Carrollwood and Dr. Robert Wilson of the Tampa Neurology Group for their care of Ed over the years. A funeral mass will be held Friday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Catholic Church located at 12708 N. Dale Mabry Hwy, with a viewing at 9:00 AM that morning at St. Paul's. In lieu of flowers, donations to LifePath Hospice Garnet Team or the National Parkinson's Foundation would be appreciated.
