Edward Breyak Obituary

Edward "Ed" Breyak, 95, of Indiana Township, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 12, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on Jan. 8, 1931, in Harwick, the son of the late Aniela and John Breyak. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Dorothy Bossola Breyak. His children are Cynthia Diethrich (Paul), Michael Breyak (the late Armella), Linda Brush (Stephen), and Cheryl Rosewell (Rick). Grandchildren: Laurel Petraglia (Angelo), Lindsey Breyak Terihay (Alex), Lexie Brush Cassels (Cole), Davis Diethrich (Claudia Mauldin), and Lucas Brush (Katie Miller). Great-grandchildren, Thomas Petragilia, Lilyanna Petraglia, and Kennedy Cassels. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Frank Breyak and William Breyak; and sisters, Helen Duda, Josephine Pajerski, Sophia Pajerski, and Violet Breyak. A graduate of East Deer High School, Ed built a successful architect landscaping business. He served in the United States Army and Korea during the Korean War. Ed learned to fly a plane at 55. He served as president of Oakmont Rotary and as a delegate for Rotary International. Ed loved collecting Corvettes and Mustang convertibles. He enjoyed going to Las Vegas and Rivers Casino with his wife. A celebration of Ed's life will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 20, 2026, at Lakewood Memorial Gardens, 943 PA 910, Cheswick, followed by a luncheon at Butler Country Club. Family and friends are welcome to attend a luncheon at Butler Country Club, Butler. The family respectfully suggests donations can be made to Hillman Cancer Center in Ed's honor.
