Dr. Edward Joseph Brill, a cherished member of the

Dr. Brill was the devoted husband of the late Camille M. Brill (nee Soltys) for 60 years, until her passing in 2015. He leaves behind a profound legacy through his children: Cynthia B. (Leroy) Livingston, Alicia M. Brill, Camille M. (Walter) Parr, Christopher E. (Jennifer) Brill, Jennifer M. Brill, and Vanessa M. (Jason Gray) Brill.
Loving grandfather to David Livingston, Rachel (Carl Odell) Livingston-Odell and family, Brian (Lindsey) Livingston, Stacia Wompierski, Melanie (Loren) Parks, Andrew (Grace) Parr, Christopher (Nikki) Parr, Jennifer Parr, and Stephanie Parr. Great grandfather to Nicholas Hinnershietz, Leila Livingston, Stella Parks, and Nova Parks. He was predeceased by his siblings; Leon Brill (Bonnie) and Theresa Danko (Charles).
A distinguished veteran, Dr. Edward J. Brill proudly served in the US Navy from 1954 to 1960, achieving the rank of Lieutenant Commander. His commitment to service extended to his grandchild Andrew and great grandchild Nicholas who, following in his footsteps, both serve in the military.
Moving to Cinnaminson in 1961, Dr. Brill and Camille became the original owners of their family home, where they raised their six children. Dr. Brill's medical career was marked by pioneering dedication. Graduating from the first class specializing in Oncology, he navigated uncharted territory being asked to contribute to the first oncology textbooks by editing professors' lecture notes.
His compassion and kindness toward patients were acknowledged throughout his career. Post-retirement, he maintained his medical license, attending continuing education and medical conventions, reflecting his enduring passion for knowledge.
Beyond medicine, Dr. Brill embraced diverse interests. In his 60s, he undertook the formal study of Polish, an ancestral language learned in childhood by both he and wife Camille, reaching out to connect with linguistic experts when his questions stretched beyond his textbook. A lover of music, he filled his home with an eclectic array of music awakening his children to Beethoven's fifth symphony and rocking the house with Neil Diamond's Sweet Caroline.
Passionate about education, culture, and the arts, he and his wife instilled these values in their children. Dr. Brill, an avid golfer and lifetime member of Riverton Country Club, shared his enthusiasm for the Philadelphia Eagles, tennis, and winter sports, fostering family outings on the ice along with raucous toboggan rides.
Together with Camille, Ed explored the world, from Russia to Greece, Spain, and Turkey. After her passing, he found solace in daily mass and visits to his wife's resting place at Lakeview Memorial Park.
Dr. Brill's humor, warmth, and indomitable spirit left an indelible mark on everyone he encountered. Friends and relatives are invited to celebrate his life at St. Charles Borromeo of Cinnaminson on Friday, January 19th, at 10:15 am (EST).
