Edward Cadle Obituary

Edward Cadle
Godfrey - With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Edward Cadle on August 15, 2025 at the age of 79.
Ed was the son of Viola (Flowers) and George Cadle and the youngest brother of Larry and Tom Cadle.
The 1965 Roxana High School graduate went on to work for Illinois Terminal Railroad/Norfolk & Southern Railroad for 28 years.
Ed leaves behind his loving wife of 58 years, Joyce (McKenzie) Cadle and daughters Kimberly (Don) Brandt and Denise (Rodney) Koch. He is also survived by his brother Tom (Sheron) Cadle and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Viola Cadle and a brother Larry (Carol) Cadle.
After retirement, Ed and Joyce loved traveling all over the world and photographing their many adventures. Ed was quick with a smile and made friends with everyone he met. His humor, loyalty and generous heart will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
Visitation will be Tuesday, Aug. 19 at Paynic Home for Funerals from 11 a.m. until services begin at 1 p.m. Ed's family will attend a private interment.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Beltline Christian Church in Alton. An online guestbook is available at www.paynicfh.com
