Edward was the son of the late Sylvia and Charlie Cage. He was born May 13, 1924, in Olmstead, KY.
Edward was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Olmstead, KY and worked as a farm worker with Jimmy Starks Farm.
He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Sylvester Cage, Carl Cage, Gloria Kimbrough, Frances Long, Dorothy Grinter, Sarah Louise Cage and Charlie Wilson Cage.
Survivors include his children, Gillie (Rev. Roy) Sweatt, Gloria Cage, Flora (Thomas) Ligon, Frances Cage, Kathleen Cage, Delores Cage, Edward (Missy) Cage, Robert Cage, Charles Cage, Kenneth Cage, Ricky Cage, Bryan Cage, and Amanda Cage; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

I remember Uncle Edward coming to get me to go strip tobacco over in Orlando Tennessee. I also remember Uncle Edward and auntie going fishing several times auntie will be in the middle and then me on the door. I love them and miss them so much! Lord knows he will be missed very much! Love you Edward your nephew Bryant Copeland
