Edward Carl Chaudoin

Edward Carl Chaudoin, age 76 of Howell, passed away on December 9, 2025, in Ann Arbor, MI. He was born on June 20, 1949, in Detroit, MI the son of Kenneth E. and Patricia (Cummings) Chaudoin.
Edward's life was one of service and adventure. After honorably serving in the US Army, he embarked on a career as a truck driver, a profession that allowed him to travel and experience the roads for many years before retiring. His passion for the open road was also evident in his personal life, as a proud member of the Forbidden Wheels Clubhouse for over 20 years. Edward's commitment to community was unwavering, and he was instrumental in founding Riders for Children's Needs, dedicating countless hours to charity work and touching many lives in the process. His military service did not go unnoticed; he was celebrated as the Hero of the Week at a Pistons' game.
Edward's love for his family was the cornerstone of his life. He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with his daughters, Laura (Tony) Higgins and Carla Chaudoin; his grandchildren, Samantha, Mike, Zac, Brittnay, and Anthony; his four great-grandchildren; his devoted brothers, Ron (Catherine) Chaudoin and Greg Chaudoin, along with many nieces and nephews. Edward was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth E. and Patricia (Cummings) Chaudoin.
Edward was a man of many layers. To the outside world, he could appear intimidating with his rugged demeanor, but those who knew him understood the true warmth of his heart. His love for riding his Heritage Softail Harley Davidson was more than a hobby; it was a reflection of his spirit of freedom and his desire to explore the beauty of the world on two wheels. He found solace and joy in his bike trips to Sturgis and other destinations, forging friendships and memories along the way.
A memorial visitation for Edward will be held 1-3 PM Saturday, December 13, 2025 at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, MacDonald Chapel, 315 N. Michigan Ave, with a memorial service following at 3PM.
Memorial contributions in Edward's honor may be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
