Edward Copeland, 83, of Norfolk, Virginia, passed away on November 13, 2025. He was born on June 23, 1942, to Joseph and Bertha (Miller) Copeland.
A lifelong resident of Norfolk, Edward learned the value of hard work at a young age. As a child, he began working on farms in Virginia Beach, lending a hand wherever he was needed. From tending fields to caring for livestock, he did a little bit of everything and took pride in every task. His work ethic became a defining part of who he was.
Edward attended Rosemont School and grew up surrounded by a large and loving family. He was one of fourteen children, a blessing that shaped his life with constant companionship and strong family bonds.
Though he was not affiliated with any church, Edward lived a quiet, honest, and hardworking life. On the rare occasions he took a day off, he enjoyed simply relaxing and taking in the peaceful breeze-one of life's simplest pleasures that brought him joy.
Edward will be remembered for his dedication, strength, and the humble way he moved through life.
Edward will be truly missed by his family and friends.
