Edward L. Driskell

Edward L. Driskell, age 74, lifelong resident of Villa Park, Illinois. Beloved husband of Kathy Driskell, nee Genovise; loving father of Jennifer (Jason), Michael (Donna), Daniel (Nicole), Edward (Bree) and Joseph (Alissa); dear son of the late Evelyn, nee Smith, and the late Wesley Driskell; devoted grandfather of Gianna, Gabby, Gracey, Lillian, Jake, Allie, June, Keith, and Justin; fond brother of Frances (Larry) and Shirley; beloved brother in law of Frank (Catherine); much loved uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Whether Ed was helping someone shovel snow, mow their lawn, restore their car, remodel their house, or lend a hand doing just about anything, he was always ready to help with his plethora of knowledge, tools, and talents. Edward loved serving everyone. His family and friends would be the first to note Ed's sense of humor. A sarcastic joke or updated weather reports were part of his everyday tongue.
After graduating from Willowbrook High School in 1968, Ed attended Lewis University following his passion of aviation mechanics. While planes were always an interest to Ed, he spent the majority of his working days in the rock quarry industry. After retiring, he would spend time with his beloved grandchildren, his John Deere tractor, and his well manicured yard.
Ed's time on earth was too short, but his positive impact during his time here was measureless. He will surely be missed.
