Edward Albert Dunlow Jr.

Edward Albert Dunlow, Jr., age 53, of Elizabeth City, NC, died at his home on Monday, August 18, 2025. Born in Emporia, VA, on July 7, 1972, to the late Edward Albert Dunlow, Sr. and Gloria Dean Johnson Dunlow, he was the husband of Melissa Carmen Alvarez Dunlow. Edward worked as an EMT with Albemarle Medical Transport, started the "Pack the Patrol Car" initiative, and was the owner of Rat Man Photo. Fishing was his favorite way to spend his free time.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Christian Love (Brett) of NC, Carmelitta Hinrich of TN, and Isabella Alvarez (Chase) of NM; five sons, Edward Dunlow III of WV, Jason Dunlow (Meagan), Skyler Dunlow, Chris Harrell (Mahak), and Dale Dunlow, all of NC; two sisters, Dianna Jones (Bug) of VA and Sherl Wilson of NC; one brother-in-law, WJ Parrott of NC; five grandchildren, Alayna, Noah, Serenity, Magnolia, and Livvy; two aunts, Nettie Mosely and Anne Rook; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members. He was predeceased by his parents and sister, Tammie Parrott.

A visitation will be held from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Twiford Memorial Chapel, 405 E. Church Street, Elizabeth City, NC 27909.
