Michelle Dunlow
August 22, 1981 – February 7, 2024
Kinston-Carolyn "Michelle" Wiggins Dunlow, 42, died February 7, 2024 at UNC Lenoir Healthcare in Kinston, North Carolina. Born in Lenoir County on August 22, 1981, Michelle was the daughter of Jimmy Neal Wiggins and Janet "Lynn" Fleming.
Michelle was preceded in death by her grandparents, Wilber L. and Yvonne Provost Wiggins and William Fleming and Brenda Gowan; step-mother, Carolyn Avery Wiggins; and special uncle and aunt, Wilber L. "Buddy" Wiggins, Jr. and Theresa Switch Wiggins.
Michelle left us for a better place where she is no longer in pain after a long time of poor health. She was loved by so many, but understood by very few. Though she never found her true path in life, her generosity towards others was evident, for she would give you her all.
The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Friday, February 9, 2024 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home.
She leaves behind her father, Jimmy Wiggins of Kinston, NC; mother, Lynn F. Wiggins (Gus Saenz) of Spartanburg, SC; daughter, Kaitlyn Parker (Matt Pearce) of Benson, NC; sons, Skyler and Johnathan Dale Dunlow of Elizabeth City, NC; brothers, Jesse and Will Saenz of Spartanburg, SC and William Rouse (Sonya) and Matthew Rouse (Jenna) of Seven Springs, NC; four nephews and one niece.
Also surviving Michelle are her uncle, Michael Fleming and aunt, Karen Banks, both of Spartanburg, SC; and special aunts, Brenda Potter (Lynn) and Shelia Barfield (John "Buddy"), who helped raise Michelle as their daughter, both of La Grange, NC.
Michelle had cousins who were very dear to her, Dawn B Gale (Brooks), Jessica Avery, and Caleb Wiggins (Kim); and many more loving family and special friends.
The family would like to thank the trauma emergency department staff and EMT's of UNC Lenoir Health Care for the outstanding care, respect, and dedication of our loved one.
Online condolences may be expressed at www.rousefh.com. In lieu of flowers, it is the wish of the family to make a donation to the American Cancer Society, 930-B Wellness Drive, Greenville, NC 27834, or to a charity of your choice. Arrangements are entrusted to Rouse Funeral Home, La Grange.
