My thoughts and prayers to the Dupont family. Ed was largely responsible for my move to New Hampshire and was extremely welcoming and supportive to my entire family. I always appreciated Ed's focus on the State of New Hampshire and its residents while serving on the USNH Board of Trustees. I also enjoyed many conversations related to his passion for cars. Deepest sympathies.

I first met Ed when attending UNH. To my surprise he knew of me already through his cousin, who I had dated while at Spaulding. In his usual way, he was friendly and engaging, like he had known me for years. It was always a pleasure when he came by the dorm to visit his STA friends, and later in life when we would meet at SHS reunions, UNH events, or at some location around the area. He is certainly deserving of the many accolades which seem to be forthcoming. For my part, I just want to acknowledge that I always thought that Ed was just a Really Great Guy. May we meet again in the future and share our waterskiing stories, which we so enjoyed doing.

As a past President of the New Hampshire Optometric Association, I offer my deepest sympathy to Ed's family. Ed helped us improve eye care quality and access across the state. The legacy of his efforts continue to help us recruit the best and brightest eye doctors to our beautiful state. He was the consummate professional. He will be missed and always admired.

To the Dupont family, sorry for your loss.. I had met Ed at the State House years ago. As mentioned in his Obit, he was a true gentleman and dedicated to the State of NH and it's people. May all the wonderful memories of him from the past be a source of healing and comfort to you now during this difficult time.
