Edward Ebinger Obituary

Published by Legacy on Feb. 23, 2026.
Edward "Ed" Ebinger, born July 28, 1937, in Boston, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on February 19th, surrounded by his loving family at his Miami home.

Ed grew up in Tewksbury, Massachusetts, the son of Carl and Vera Ebinger. From an early age, family was the center of his world, a value that guided him throughout his life.

Ed was the beloved husband of Anabella and a devoted father to his three daughters: Sherri DeFoor (Bob) of Seabrook, South Carolina; Jeri Williams of Pelham, New Hampshire; and Noelle Addington of Thomasville, North Carolina. He was also a loving stepfather to Maureen Bigotes (Humberto) and Laura Robinson. He is survived by his beloved sister, Beverly Cormack, of Marshfield, MA and Naples, FL.

Ed was a proud and deeply devoted grandfather to Erin and Emily Williams, and Cristian and Nicholas Bigotes, each of whom brought him immeasurable joy.

Ed served honorably in the United States Coast Guard Reserves for eight years, receiving an honorable discharge, reflecting his strong sense of duty and service.

Ed truly loved life. Nothing meant more to him than time spent with family, whether in everyday moments or large gatherings. In summer time, New England family reunions at the family beach cottage in New Hampshire were occasions filled with laughter, connection, and lasting memories.

Ed remained active for as long as he was able, well into his upper 80s. In Florida, he could often be found gardening in his yard, and in New Hampshire, he took great joy and pride in rebuilding he family beach house; projects that reflected both his work ethic and devotion to family traditions.

Ed had a lifelong love of learning and a deep curiosity about the world. He enjoyed genealogy and science, found peace at the beach, and believed strongly in the importance of education. He especially loved mentoring the younger generation, always encouraging continued learning and personal growth.

Ed enjoyed a distinguished 30-year career as Chief Pharmacist and Pharmacist Consultant for Miami-Dade County, where he was respected for his knowledge, professionalism, and dedication.

He is survived by his beloved sister, Beverly Cormack, of Naples, Florida, as well as by many extended family members and friends that he loved.

Ed will be remembered for his love of life, unwavering devotion to family, generous spirit, and quiet wisdom. His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched and the generations he so deeply cherished.
