Mr. Edward “Ed” Henry Holloman, age 87, of Temple passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, January 17, 2025. He was born in Villa Rica on October 12, 1937. Mr. Holloman was the son of the late Herschel Holloman and the late, Annie (Stephens) Holloman. In addition to his parents, Ed is preceded in death by his wife, Joyce (Smith) Holloman; his son, Wade Holloman; his daughter, Susan Brock; and by one brother, Gene Holloman.
Mr. Holloman served his country in the United States Army until his Honorable Discharge in 1961. He would go on to work for Ford Motor Company, retiring after 30 plus years of service. Upon retiring from Ford, Ed transitioned into the construction business, utilizing his skills as a carpenter. For over 20 years, he took great pride in building homes. Outside of his work, Ed found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He enjoyed being outdoors, working on his farm and going fishing. Above all, Ed loved spending time with his family.
Survivors include his grandchildren and their spouses, Eric Brock of Temple, Adam and Meghan Brock of Temple, Justin and Amber Holloman of Bowdon, Jessie and John Copley of Waco, and Maddison Wilson of Tallapoosa; his great-grandchildren, Aiden Brock, Camden Brock, Jaxson Holloman, Carter Brock, Olivia Brock, Raegan Holloman, Margo Copley, Johnny Copley, Gracelynn Holloman, and Evelynn Rodriguez; one brother, Clifford Holloman of Temple; two sisters, Annie Ruth Hathcock of Temple, Georgie Boyd of Villa Rica, and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, January 20, 2025, at 4P.M. at Concord Baptist Church in Temple with Brother Alan Holloman and Reverend Joey Meeks officiating.
The family will receive friends at the Church, prior to the service, from 2P.M. until the funeral hour.
Military Funeral Honors and interment will immediately follow the funeral service in the Concord Baptist Church Cemetery with Eric Brock, Adam Brock, Aiden Brock Justin Holloman, Eric Horsley, and Shane Key serving as pallbearers. Jaxson Holloman, Camden Brock, and Carter Brock will serve as honorary pallbearers.
