It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a remarkable son, brother, husband and father, Edwardo “Eddie” Garza, on December 1, 2024, after a long battle with cancer.
Eddie was born on June 27, 1968, to Juan and Belen Garza in Kingsville, Texas. He spent his childhood growing up in Tuleta, Texas and graduated from Pettus High School. He was a bartender at the 19th Hole, Pogos and The Sundowner. He was an auto body technician at Dave Moore Ford where he earned many certificates in the auto body repair field. In 2003, Eddie married Dotti Kay Jones and became an instant dad to Christopher Adam Jones Porter and Nathan John Porter. Eddie also had a daughter, Justine Destiny Garza. Eddie loved to go hunting, fishing and camping with his family. He loved working on his ranch and tending to his chickens. Eddie was a very talented artist and liked to paint with oils and sketch with colored pencils. He also enjoyed making jewelry and woodcrafting.
Eddie also loved to barbecue and make tamales during the holidays. He always had a garden growing and loved caring for his house plants. He loved his fur babies, Lulu, Cali, Shadow and Debbielu. Eddie will be dearly missed and will remain in our hearts forever.
