Edward Edwards Jr.

Edward E. Edwards, Jr., age 79, passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2026. Ed was the devoted and beloved husband of Michelle Edwards, whom he lost just two months prior, shortly after they celebrated 61 years of marriage. Their bond was enduring, and his passing marks the reunion of two lives deeply intertwined.

Ed was a loving father to Edward Edwards III (who preceded both parents in death in 2019), Anthony (Dawn) Edwards, Brian (Jennifer) Edwards, William (Karen) Edwards, and Lisa (Richard) Howard. His family was the center of his life, and he took great pride in each of his children.

His grandchildren were his greatest joy, and he cherished each of them deeply: Nathan (Mary) and Ryan (fiancé Taryn) Edwards; Emily and Brian Jr. Edwards; and Olivia Howard. He was also a proud great-grandfather to Bennett Edwards, who brought him immense happiness.

He spent many years as a truck driver, working long hours with a strong commitment to both work and family. After retirement, Ed found joy in fishing, spending time outdoors, and faithfully cheering on his favorite teams, the San Francisco 49ers and Saint Louis Cardinals.

Ed was a devoted brother to Carol Krause and Phyllis Koch, and was preceded in death by his brothers, Bernard and John Edwards.

Ed will be remembered for his humor, work ethic, and unwavering love for his family. His legacy lives on through the many lives he shaped and supported. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
