Mr. Edward Deon Eubanks, entered eternal rest in the early morning on Monday, April 18, 2023 while at the Piedmont-Augusta hospital in Augusta, GA. Born on Monday, May 22, 1967 in Augusta, GA, he was the son of the late Johnnie Mae Montgomery Harris and the late Henry Lewis Sims, Sr.
As a child and young adult, Deon (his middle name) which he was preferably called, received his education by attending the public schools of McDuffie County, GA. Deon decided to relocate to Wrens, GA where he lived the remainder of his life. While living in Wrens, GA, he met and eventually married his long-time love and partner, Annette Smith Eubanks. During his employment years, Deon was gainfully employed with the Lamb Brothers Lumber Company Incorporated of Wrens, GA for over fifteen dedicated years.
Deon loved his family with all his heart. He enjoyed the simple things that life had to offer, and he truly loved the small-town feel of living in Wrens, GA. Deon was very dear to us. He may be gone from our sight, but he will never be gone from our hearts. He has left a trail of beautiful memories that will be cherished by family members, loved ones and friends to last throughout our lifetimes. In addition to his parents, our beloved Edward Deon Eubanks is preceded in death by a daughter, Shondrika Eubanks Anderson; a younger sister, LaShanda Eubanks and a stepfather, Robert Harris.
He leaves to cherish his memories: a loving wife, Annette Eubanks of Wrens, GA; three sons, Kendrick (Patrice) Eubanks of Thomson, GA, Anthony Eubanks and Antwan Eubanks, both of Augusta, GA; eleven grandchildren; a step-daughter, Valentina (Octavious) Burton of Wrens, GA; a mother-in-law, Carrie Smith of Wrens, GA; a god-daughter, Aieshea Hannah of Wrens, GA; two sisters, Jeanine (Samuel) Cooper of Swainsboro, GA and Linda Butler of Thomson, GA; two brothers, Daniel Anthony (Jenifer) Eubanks of Wrens, GA and Henry Lewis, Jr. (Latisha) Sims or Rhode Island, NY; two sisters-in-law, Janice Smith of Augusta, GA and Myra Blair of Louisville, GA; five brothers-in-law, Wallace Smith, Michael Upton, Henry Smith, all of Wrens, GA, Steve Upton of Augusta, GA and Rickey Smith of Hephzibah, GA; one aunt, Mattie Lee McCord of Thomson, GA; three uncles, Alton (Linda) Cummings of Decatur, GA, Thomas Sims of Warrenton, GA and Brady (Judy) Sims of Austell, GA; one great-aunt, Robbie Lampkin of Thomson, GA; two special friends, Leroy (Juanita) King of Matthews, GA and Jacqueline Huff of Stapleton, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and many additional sorrowing friends.
