Edward "Eddie" Failla, 63, of Morganville, passed away Tuesday surrounded by his family.
Eddie was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, he graduated from Grady High School. Following high school, he began his first career as a police officer for the NYPD and shortly after married the love of his life, Jacqueline, in 1993. They would move to Hazlet to raise their young family and then a few years later to Aberdeen. Eddie would leave his job as a police officer to become an Operating Engineer for the Local 94 where he would spend 25 years.
Eddie loved his prize possession a Marigold blue ribbon show horse, he loved to cook, his signature dish was linguine and clams, he enjoyed the stock market, physics, his three dogs whom he would swim with, Bella, Brooklyn and Boo, and he was a man ahead of his time with technology, he gifted everyone in his family's their first computers and also kept up with all new technology coming out.
Eddie is predeceased by his loving wife Jacqueline Fialla; brother-in-law Jimmy and his parents Vincent and Carmela Failla.
Eddie is survived by his children John Failla, Jacqueline Failla, and Maryann Williams; his siblings Connie Klimoski, Francine Murphy, Paul Fialla and his wife Sally, Vinny Fialla and his wife Susan, and John Fialla; his brother and sister-in-law Peter Molinelli and Cathy Petito; his godson Donald Klimoski; his Uncle Vince and Phyllis Cappello and many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Sunday, August 10 th from 2:00-6:00 PM at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 S. Holmdel Rd,
Holmdel, NJ 07733. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered on Monday, August 11 th at 10:00 AM at St. Benedicts Roman Catholic Church, 165 Bethany Road, Holmdel. An entombment will follow at Holmdel Cemetery Mausoleum.
