Edward “Wayne” Galloway, 70, passed away on Friday, January 12. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 17 at 3:00 pm at Evergreen Memorial Park, 2800 Nash Street North, Wilson.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 16 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and at other times at the home.
Wayne served the Wilson Fire Department for over 19 years as both firefighter engineer and fire inspector. He also volunteered with the Silver Lake Fire Department. The fire service was his passion, and his family was his life.
Wayne is survived by his loving wife, Pamela “Pam” Boykin Galloway; son, Brandon Galloway and wife, Bobbie; daughter, Amber Skinner and husband, Johnny; granddaughters, Willow Reese Skinner and Lorelai Louise Galloway; grandson, Kinchen Lee Galloway; sister, Donna Pridgen and husband, Wesley; niece, Sarah Anne Pridgen; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, John Galloway, Jr. and Edna Parker Galloway.
Flowers are welcome or donations may be made to the Silver Lake Volunteer Fire Department at 5215 Hornes Church Road, Wilson, NC 27896.
