Edward Garvin Obituary
Edward Mathias Garvin, 85, of Columbus, GA passed away on January 29, 2026 with his faithful caregiver, Katrina Gardner by his side.
A Celebration of Life service will be held 1:00 pm, Friday, February 13, 2026 in the Chapel at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Ed Rollins officiating.
Edward was born May 18, 1940 in Bismark, North Dakota to the late Edward Vincent Garvin and Martha Mary Boespflug Garvin. After his thirty plus years as a pilot in the United States Air Force he teamed up with AFLAC, becoming their personal pilot for many years. His wonderful personalities lead him to have career full clients who became life-long friends.
Other than his parents, Edward was preceded in death by the love of his life. His beautiful wife, Marcella Garvin and son: Edward Garvin.
Survivors include his personal caregiver: Katrina Gardner, brother: John Garvin and sister: Mary Wilson.
