Graveside services for Mr. Edward "Dewaine" Gibson will be held Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Pleasant Ridge United Methodist Church Cemetery, in Collinsville, MS with Dr. Ron Kitchens officiating. Burial will follow services. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
Edward Dewaine Gibson, age 55, of Collinsville, MS, passed away Saturday, October 18, 2025, at his home.
Dewaine was good with his hands which made him a skilled painter, carpenter, and landscaper. He enjoyed watching wrestling and Alabama Football. His favorite outdoor hobby was fishing.
He loved his family and especially making them laugh.
Dewaine is survived by his mother, Glenda Rash, sister, Alisha Hopkins (Randy), niece Kristen Knost (Jacob), nephew, Dylan Killen, several great nephews and nieces, aunt, Marilyn Mitchum, uncle, Keith Mitchum, aunt, Faye Shoemaker (Jimmy), uncle, James Gibson (Gloria), aunt, Cathy Carpenter, uncle, Van Bennett, uncle, Scotty Mitchum (Cheryl), and many other extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his father, Pete Gibson, his brother, J.J. Rash, his maternal grandparents, Velma Mitchum and Jimmy Mitchum, his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Gibson Sr. (Willie Kay).
Pallbearers will be Joe Roberts, Mike Barber, Wayne Withers, Keith Mitchum, Dylan Killen, Randy Hopkins, Jacob Knost, and Matt Martsching.
