Edward Steven Graflage, born on May 11, 1960, in St. Louis, Missouri, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2025, in O'Fallon, Missouri. He was a cherished figure to many, a devoted family man, and a talented union carpenter for over 25 years, contributing to the lives and homes of countless individuals with his skilled craftsmanship.
Edward was far more than just his profession; he was a beacon of laughter, always aiming to uplift those around him with his humor. His cheerful spirit and knack for storytelling made him a beloved jokester who had an uncanny ability to bring a smile to anyone's face. Edward never met a stranger, embracing life with the enthusiasm of a social butterfly who thrived on building connections and nurturing friendships. He truly was everyone’s biggest fan and supportive cheerleader, always encouraging those he cared about to pursue their dreams.
Edward had an incredible love for his family. He is survived by his adoring mother, Sandra Graflage, and his sons, Steven (Jill) Graflage, Christopher (Jillian) Graflage, Brett (Erin) Graflage, as well as his daughter, Sarah (Matt Derrington) Graflage. The proud grandfather of Georgiana, Adeline, and Benjamin Graflage, he was eagerly anticipating the arrival of his new grandchild, Christopher Graflage Jr. Edward maintained deep connections with his siblings: brothers Dan (Joanie) Graflage, Scott Graflage, Jim (Sharon) Graflage, John (Sherri) Graflage, and Ken Graflage, and sister Sherry (Todd) Sauer. He also leaves behind many loving nephews, nieces, cousins, and a multitude of friends who will forever remember his magnetic presence.
Though he leaves behind a vibrant family and community, Edward will be profoundly missed by those who loved him. He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Graflage, his daughter Christine Graflage, and brothers Rick Graflage and Michael Graflage. Their memories will forever remain woven into the fabric of his legacy. Edward is once again reunited with his loving family who eagerly awaited his arrival with open arms.
A devoted dog owner, Edward shared an unbreakable bond with his furry friend, Bo Diddly, whose joyful presence complemented Edward's affectionate and giving nature. His generosity knew no bounds; he would give you the shirt off his back and stand by you in times of need. Edward Graflage’s warmth, laughter, and commitment to family and friends will be celebrated and remembered fondly as a life rich with love and joy.
