Ed was a heavy equipment mechanic for many years. He retired from Michigan Cat, after 20 years of service. He was a member of the Operating Engineers Local 324. Ed loved his barn, bourbon and barbecue. He enjoyed camping with family and friends in Forester, kayaking and golf. He adored his dogs; Gunner, Oakley and Tuesday Mae. Ed was an avid collector of "stuff".
He is survived by his wife, Cindy, daughters; Shelby (Ray Bradshaw) Graham and Karlie (Austin) Graham-Emig, grandchildren; Barrett Edward Emig and Emma Bradshaw, siblings; Donna (Terry) Gibson, Glenda (Decho) Iliev, Mike (Pam) Graham and Donald (Kate) Dobbyn, mother-in-law, Wanda (Tim Coats) McCormick, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Tami Dobbyn-Thurman, Chuck (Rachel) Barnes, Roy (Brenda) Barnes, and Shevaun Barnes, honorary daughters; Courtney, Michele, Chelsea, Kasey and Cheyenne, longtime friend, Butch Mieksztyn, along with many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Dan Dobbyn, brothers-in-law; Rich Barnes and Karl Barnes, father-in-law, Richard Barnes and nephew, Robbie Barnes.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
